This weekend was definitely a full one! First, I didn't have school on Friday, due to the fact that we had parent teacher conferences Wed/Thurs. BOy am I glad THAT'S over! Not that I don't like my students or their parents! I actually have a really good class..report cards and saying the same things over and over again are just tiring, you know?
Anyways, I spent all of Friday disinfecting my house from my sicky germs. (Which by the way, the antibiotics did wonders, and I am now "cough free"!! It feels great after not being able to breath for 6 weeks!)
My sister Rachel and her fiancee Steven came Friday night to spend the weekend here. Saturday was packed with "wedding stuff" Here is what we did:
1) got up at the crack of dawn to get her in her dress and hair done
2) drove to Saratoga Springs where we met Katie and took a million and a half pictures
...it was freezing...
3) made lots of yummy yummy food in the hour and a half we had before the bridal shower
4) went to the bridal shower....so good to see lots of family!
SIDE NOTE: I got RAch a cute little number for you know..the honeymoon! When she opened it my cute little 8 year old cousin shouted out "I WANT A CUTE PINK PAJAMA DRESS" I explained that those were big girl pajamas, and she had to be a big girl before she could get her own! :)
5) came home and watched the BYU game with Dan and Steven...BIG disappointment!..maybe next time guys...maybe not! :)
6) CRASHED HARD!!!! Seriously think I took like a 3 hour nap!
7) Watched Charlie St. Cloud...Have you seen that movie??? WEIRD...not what I was expecting, but I liked it!
SUNDAY CAME....
we made waffles, ate them happily and the happily engaged couple were off back to Idaho!
Sunday night the little brother TAYLOR came for dinner. I've been finding all these AMAZING Brazilian and more recipes at this website so I wanted him to come give it a try!
It was a blast, Taylor is hilarious...especially with Dan around...they are so funny together!
And that was our weekend!!
Sorry....probably a long boring post with no pictures! Next time something fascinating comes up...there will be pictures! :)

ReplyDeleteThat is so funny your cousin said that. When we were growing up our dad was in the Bishopric of a student ward so we were always going to bridal showers for girls in the ward. I don't know if you know Holly Hancock (she is married now), but one time she asked why the girl was getting so many funny looking swim suits. Too funny! We always laugh about it :) BTW, don't know if I have ever commented on here, but just so you know...I am a stalker :) Love your cute newlywed life!
