The past week has been nothing but chaos!
Chaos for the people around me that is, I on the other hand, have just been laying down and sitting on my butt like I have the entire month of January! :) My wonderful mother came to town to help us out and get ready for this bundle of joy that's about to be headed our way!
My poor husband has to deal with my emotional break downs now on a weekly basis. I have at least one a week, sometimes more! I'm assuming at 36 weeks pregnant that's normal right?
Like last week when I saw a picture of one of my friend's nursery on facebook all set up and ready to go, complete with a packed hospital bag and literally everything she'll need for her baby and she is due way after me! I went to look in our "nursery" and opened the door to bright pink walls (not painted by us!), an assortment of all kinds of furniture, and stuff just piled everywhere! Anytime we get something for the baby we just shove it in that room and close the door, thinking we'll put it away later. Well it was pure madness in there now. I had a complete and utter melt down!
In retrospect, that meltdown was completely unnecessary, but hey...I can't help what my hormones make me do! :) I wish I would have taken a picture of what this room looked like before we started the transformation, but I didn't! We still aren't done, we want to get a shelf, and a couple other cute little trinkets, but other than that we are set!
Let me just say...the squares were DAN'S idea! I was a little apprehensive, but it turned out really cute! We also thought we were going to blind our baby with the paint colors that turned out way brighter than planned, but then we decided that we liked it! So hopefully, we don't give him too much ADHD with all these colors! :)
My mom came down with these three jungle animals. At first I was thinking, "are you serious? What are we going to do with all of those?!" But now I love them and think the room just wouldn't be the same without them!
I LOVE the bedding! Sorry, the picture is kind of blurry. I fully understand the bed won't be staying this way once there is a baby inside, but I am one of those "staging" people that just likes to see what it looks like all set up! :) I am also in love with the little animals on the sheets! SO CUTE!
sorry bad lighting!
panoramic view!
Still some work to be done, but we are excited and feel a little more ready for baby C to make his big debut!
No more melt downs for me....ok, I can't promise anything!
I seriously LOVE this room. TOTALLY copying you someday!
