Today as I've been sitting home, sleeping, eating, being sick (I know, not fun!), I've been thinking about my wonderful life and all the many blessings Heavenly Father has given me...
- being born under the covenant
-being born 3 months premature and actually being alive now!
- great parents who have taught me well
-awesome, accomplished, fun to be with syblings
-an abundance of memories from my childhood up to high school
- a great job..and in this market that is a HUGE blessing
-the oppurtunity to attend BYU Idaho for four years
-the life changing experience of serving the great people of Barcelona, Spain!!
- being able to use my Spanish on a daily basis at school
- being married to the love on my life for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple
-my health
- our cute little apartment, that is now starting to look like a home
- my great in-laws
-the amazing family I married into
-the GREAT life long friends, I will always have contact with
- the happiness that comes from living the gospel
The list goes on and on...
But I think my biggest blessing would be the man I married 3 1/2 months ago! (yeah, we're still newly weds, and will be for a while!) Dan is such a blessing in my life. He is the most humble, hilarious, fun-loving, spirited, talented guy I've ever known. He treats me like gold.
When I first met him last January, I thought he was so shy. We went out every night for 2 weeks and the kid never even held my hand..I was going crazy! Finally, he flipped the switch, and that "shyness" I was seeing...totally went away!
It took less than a month for us to fall in love and then 5 months later...we were engaged and planning a wedding. Yes, from the time we met to the time we were tying the knot in the temple was only 9 months!! It was fast. But the best decision both of us has ever made! We are madly in love and still grateful for our imperfections and opportunity to grow together in this life and the next.
Let me tell you some of my favorite memories of the last 3 1/2 months.
ONE:
About a month ago, all my little kiddies in the 4th grade came to school sneezing, coughing, throwing up, the whole works! So naturally, a day later, I had the same symptoms! O the joys of being a teacher!! :)
Friday night, I had THE WORST headache I have ever experienced in my life. It was so bad, I apparently started crying in my sleep. Dan not only took care of me and catered to my every need, he went and googled my symptoms to make sure he was doing everything right! Isn't that sweet??
Google told him to have me breathe in steam to clear up the sinuses. What google didn't know, was that I hadn't eaten anything for hours on end... I kept telling Dan, "I don't feel good, I'm getting dizzy" His response: "O it's just clearing up your sinuses, keeping going" Then, basically in a split second, I was on the floor...looking up wondering why he had put me on the kitchen floor??...was that suppose to help?? Then I saw his little face looking up at me all worried, apparently I had totally passed out and smacked my head on the fridge! haha! He felt so bad! But it was so cute, that he was up with me ALL night making me feel better!
TWO:
So again, with the little kiddies, I caught the flu! (SIDE NOTE: being a teacher totally RUINS your immune system!!)
So, I was sick again...and this time, Dan brought home, soup, meds, sprite, all the works! He put the Sprite in freezer, so it would be cold cuz we don't have ice. He forgot it was in there. So 2 hours later, I was in bed, and Dan went to get me glass of Sprite. He took it out of the freezer, opened it just a little bit, figured it wouldn't blow up, so then opened it completely, and to his surprise...it exploded! But not just a little explosion, the cap smacked him in the face, and the sprite went flying over all surfaces. The next thing I knew, Dan was in the bathroom filling up a bucket of soupy water and then stayed up all night cleaning up the kitchen. We still get a kick out of it!! :)
Needless to say, he's always there to take care of me and all my needs. He makes me laugh basically all day, everyday! He is a wonderful husband, friend, son, brother, and future father of our children!
I love him!
He is my forever and for always blessing!

We sure love you guys!!! We are so happy that you found eachother!! What a perfect pair!
