May is the ABSOLUTE WORST time of year in the world of teaching!
Don't believe me? Ask anyone who's been through it!
I'm pretty sure I want to pluck my eyes out and strangle every one of my students!
Ok I'm not really THAT violent!!
But my class does fully get the fact that there are only 15 days left of school,
and they never want to shut their traps, stay in their seats, or follow any sort of directions!
Luckily, yesterday we had a little break and did our 4th grade program
The Heart of a Pioneer
We had all these cute little old people from Daughters of the Pioneers come and teach us square dancing, and pioneer games.
Then yesterday, a live band came and put on this entire production about Utah. They were surprisingly really good!!!!
My little class wrote a song to Oh Susanna, all about Utah!

And for some reason, the teacher filming decided to follow me when it's all over with the camera!
....i don't know...
Afterwards we went to the multipurpose room to perform our recorders
we've been learning all year for all the parents!
It was great, glad it's over!
After all was said and done we took a class picture. They looked too cute in their little pioneer outfits not to! :)

oh linds! my mom (teaching the 2nd grade) would TOTALLY agree with you. i bet you are the best teacher though! hang in there, you're almost done!!

ReplyDeletehaha this post (especially the video) solidified to me that you`re all grown up. You`re a teacher!!! Kids look at you like you`re an adult!
