3 Months already?

 

Why is my baby growing up so fast?

I swear everyday he does something new or pulls a face I've never seen before 

He is getting to be SO alert! He likes to study people's faces and then once he's got it figured out, he'll smile and coo, and scream, and play with you all day long. 

Life with a baby is getting a little more normal. But of course just a couple weeks ago I was feeling like, "yeah, I've got this down" and then all of the sudden he doesn't want to eat at the normal time frame, or sleep as long as normal. He just pretty much wants to do his own thing every day.  

At 3 months Austin...

+ is starting to grasp and reach for toys. He can put a rattle in his hands (with a little help) and shake it around.  He feels really proud when it makes noise. 

+ LOVES to sit in his bumbo. Loves to just sit up.  Gone are the days of pleasantly hanging out in the boppy.  He wants UP!

+ Wakes up cooing instead of crying. I absolutely love it 

+ studies people's faces and then busts out the biggest smiles once he's figured you out 

+has the BIGGEST BEST smiles, but as soon as the camera is on, they go away!! :/ 

+ has found a new love for his legs. He loves to kick them around 24/7. He rarely stops moving

+still HATES tummy time. It's actually getting worse. He will scream and scream if you put him on his stomach and I'm not sure what to do about it!

+ is OBSESSED with his fists. He will move the binki out of his way to shove his entire fist in his mouth.  Even when he has been eating for 45 minutes and is completely full, he will still shove his hand in as far as he can go!

+ is a definite people person.  If he can hear a conversation going on and is in another room or facing away from people in his car seat, he gets really upset until he can see you. 

+loves to be outside. He takes after his daddy 

+speaking of his daddy..he LOVES to just stare at him.  He will pick him out in a crowd of people and just stare for 10 minutes straight at his dad. They actually have A LOT of the same mannerisms.  Even the little faces they both pull are the same.

+ Is starting to droll, A LOT. It worries me actually that he is teething already...is that even possible at 3 months? 

+Has a REAL strong personality coming out-awesome. He wants what he wants, when he wants it and that's it. He gets real impatient when he knows I'm getting ready to feed him and the milk isn't in his mouth yet!

+loves all his grandparents but has a special bond with his Grandpa Farnsworth since they are basically twins 50 years apart in age. Their head is the exact same shape, but different sizes!

+still likes his baths, and at times will pee the second he gets in

+coos when he gets his diaper changed

+likes to watch TV...should I be worried?

+Now actually looks at the books I read him instead of staring at the ceiling or floor. 

+Is now discovering his tongue.  When he sees you stick your tongue out and wiggle it, he tries really hard to do the same thing. 

+has the biggest marble looking eyes I've ever seen! 

I could go on and on..

This babe has taken over our lives, but we wouldn't have it any other way! We love our buddy boy and love having him as a part of our family!
